Of all the aspects of my life that are demanding, right now, consciousness is the most high-maintenance. I mean just maintaining consciousness, though I suppose I could also include all the torment inherent in even having overdeveloped consciousness and underdeveloped instincts. A very common human problem.
Speaking of human problems, and therefore of non-human problems, I saw March of the Penguins. I agree with the one review that said the movie kind of excessive in anthropomorphising penguins, but it still ruled.
